Datoria federală germană este emisă de Finanzagentur ca Schatz (circa doi ani), Bobl (circa cinci), Bund (zece și treizeci) și linii legate de inflație. Bund-ul pe 10 ani este referința fără risc a zonei euro; ceilalți suverani euro se tranzacționează ca spread față de el.
Randamente negative la bund-uri au apărut în anii 2010. Cuponul nu este randament: un bund cumpărat la 140 poate fi tot „credit sigur” și un randament slab până la scadență.
