A német szövetségi adósságot a Finanzagentur bocsátja ki Schatzként (kb. két év), Boblként (kb. öt), Bundként (tíz és harminc) és inflációhoz kötött sorokként. A 10 éves bund az euroövezet kockázatmentes referenciája; a többi euroszuverén spreadként kereskedik hozzá.
Negatív bund-hozamok a 2010-es években előfordultak. A kupon nem hozam: egy 140-en vásárolt bund még mindig „biztonságos” hitel lehet, és gyenge hold-to-maturity hozam.
